SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING: Right after graduating from college, I stepped into a 2-year internship with the non-profit organization, Cru, at Washington State University. On my staff team, I was tasked with running @WSUCru's social media and marketing development across campus. Below, you can check out a handful of examples with further descriptions with each project.

THE TAKEAWAY: I loved bridging the gap between students and serving as a resource on campus through social media and marketing content. This position helped me own large-scale event promotion and strategic social media practices.

INSTAGRAM

Aug. 2021-Aug. 2023: Knowing that consistent and focused use of Cru's brand colors would help support a unified brand image, I was very intentional about curating an Instagram feed that reflected Cru yellow, gray and white at a glance. The addition of reels and imagery on Instagram challenged me to tell a complete story about the students Cru serves and how they can benefit from the organization as a resource.

SPEED

FRIENDING

01/2022: Speed Friending was an event designed to create a time and space for meaningful conversations, meeting new people and cultivating a caring community on the college campus. I designed and printed 11X17 posters for every dorm floor and eligible bulletin board on campus, along with posting to social media. Speed Friending stickers were the cherry on top, because after the event, they made for an identifiable memory and conversation starter for students who met at the event.

FALL RETREAT

12/2021: Every fall semester, Cru at Washington State University and The University of Idaho hosts Fall Retreat together. This event is designed to help students propel forward in relationships, community and their faith walk. I designed and printed 11X17 posters for every dorm floor and eligible bulletin board on campus, along with posting to social media. Stickers were handed out at the retreat, keeping the Fall Retreat brand consistent through each stage of promotion.
